I decided to post ATC on this blog, because my computer is currently going bonkers and if I use LJ to post, it can't auto-save, and all my hard work in regaining my memory to post will be futile.
FIRST DAY:
I damn forgot what happened. Workshop was fun, YO INDIA! (: I'm sure you GB girls remember it veryvery dearly. Nothing much happened. Now since pumpings were not part of our punishment, ATC 2008 didn't feel like ATC 2007. Instead, they told us that we should be the ones choosing the punishment which teaches us not to repeat the mistake again. Hard right? I rather do pumpings instead of standing there thinking of punishments, pushing myself to suggest the punishments and get scolded if we take too long to think.
Used the sink to wash my hair because one cubicle was closed because we were late for somethingwhichiforgot. Camps are meant to be dirty, I bloody don't care if I get dirty during ATC. I rather get dirty in ATC than in CPL camp.
Lights out, slept super fast.
SECOND DAY:
The day seemed like it would never end, and so the countdown begin. Got scolding from the QM for not helping the duty group finish the milo, got scolding for not being responsive during 5BX, got scolding for reporting late after dinner(survival cooking), got scolding during changing parade. There was damn alot of scolding on the second day, and I mean, ALOT.
Changing parade, my worst fear of GB training camps arrived. The sec2 batch never did changing parades before, but changing parades are actually not that bad. I can't wait to become a JO and see how the officer-in-charge does changing parade behind the scene. >:)
And the bloody timetable lied, they wrote "Icekimo" which made me super excited and could not wait for supper time. But it was Sara Lee cake. (....................................................)
Lights out, slept super slow.
-BANGBANGBANG-
fire drill."HURRY COME DOWN, HURRY COME DOWN!"
"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?"
"WHERE ARE YOU OTHER TEAMMATES!!?!"
"WHY ARE YOU ALL SO SLOW?!"
"IF THERE'S A FIRE, YOU ALL WILL BE BURNT TO DEATH ALREADY"
"THEN WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE?"
"WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME, IF I WERE NOT HERE, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?"
"GIRLS! WHY ARE YOU WALKING? FIRE STILL CAN WALK AH?"
-and somemore scolding and shouting-
The JO's "locked" up the entire school(and I mean it), so we could not get out of the school to the General Office to report when there's a fire. We tried opening every single shuttle in the concourse. And I was so freaking scared this time, I was going to cry, Joanne too. The school was so dark, especially behind the auditorium. Me and Huiting had to hold hands to go check whether the gate on the other side of the audi was open, and it was freaking 2am.
Found a way out(there were two ways actually),
They pulled down the shuttles but did not locked it.
1) One of the shuttles in the concourse.
2) The shuttle leading from the first floor to outside audi.
Yes, we did try lifting up the shuttle before. But because I think everybody was so anxious and terrified, they anyhow-ed lifted up the shuttle in a way that the shuttle could not be lifted up.
The second time Jieying could open it.
scolding scolding scolding, somemore scolding, and damn alot of silence.
I was so scared when I suggested the punishment to Miss Foo, S.SGT Chin and Lee, I spoke super fast(x 10000000). Had to ask them whether the punishment was 'worthy' enough to cover up the 20 minutes they spent running around with us, making sure we were safe while we were finding a way out.
And I took a real long time to get back to sleep.
THIRD DAY:
Learnt long comands, got super confused with the commands. But drill is still the bombza!
E Night was super touching, compared to last year's one.
Miss Tan, pray for her, trust that the Lord knows what is best for us.
OH MY CAMBODIA!
Please PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE help out in the GB Cambodia funds.
A girl, as young as 2, just learnt how to walk and crawl, has to depend on her own to live on the streets alone.
Children, as young as 8, go around the dump in Cambodia, BAREFOOTED, finding for plastics and metals. Ah, I so want to go super badly.
I just searched 'help Camobdia' on yahoo, and found this blog. Visit it to know what I'm talking about, scroll down to the part where you see pictures of a rubbish dump and observe not only the pictures, but also the description at the side.
http://www.julian.li/cambodia/I'm tearing like shit now. As I read the descriptions, my heart just feels super helpless. What can I do for them now, I'm in Singapore staring at this screen infront of me with the aircon on. While those children go to the infested dump everyday to scavenge for things, under the sun, and some of them don't even know the Word of God. ):
And I really really really thank the Commitee and JOs'(i dont know whether you're reading this or not, but Miss Foo i know you are reading this) for putting in so much effort and work to this ATC camp, to teach us how to be discipline and responsible girls. Even if you guys do freak us out when you suddenly rant at us for being 2 minutes late, and half an hour later you start cracking lame stuff. We'll still look up to you as our role models and wish to be like you guys in the future. Thank you for being so kind to us during this ATC camp and making it a super fun one, and I mean it. This ATC Camp is so much more relaxed than last year's one.
We'll do our best to make sure 28th shines in both GB HQ and KCP (: hahah, we'll be a legend for amazing NCO skirt strippers. (:
I laughed super alot during lights out, and the rest- I dont want to talk about it.
FOURTH DAY:
Nothing much. I was trying to keep myself awake during service in LPPC. Kept asking Joanne to pinch me but didn't work.
"Patience" got best group. YAY US! But we got the award because * was inside, and we were veryyyyy patient and tolerant towards her(?).
Congrats to Seok Yin who got best leader.
Rachel got best camper. Teehee, 2 years already wors!
Okay, I'm dead tired. My eyes are closing. My itch and rash is acting up again, thanks to the games where we had to lie on the grass.
I think I'm allergic to the grass behind the DNT room. ):
This, is a super long post, :D thank you for reading through it.
